Role Overview

We are hiring an HCL DX Application Developer to design, build, and support scalable applications within the HCL Digital Experience platform. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to create user-friendly, modular, and secure DX applications that align with business goals. This role requires a solid grasp of both backend services and frontend DX components.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain custom portlets and DX applications using Java and J2EE
• Integrate backend APIs and services with frontend DX components
• Customize themes, pages, and skins to support UI/UX requirements
• Work with WCM to deliver dynamic, personalized content
• Perform debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization
• Collaborate with DevOps for version control and CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure compliance with portal security, authentication, and user access roles
  

Must-Have Skills

• Experience with HCL DX (or IBM WebSphere Portal)
• Proficiency in Java, J2EE, JSP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript
• Experience developing portlets using JSR-168/286
• Hands-on with RESTful APIs and SOAP-based web services
• Familiarity with WAS (WebSphere Application Server)
  

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to WCM content and workflow development
• Working knowledge of DX integration with SSO, LDAP
• Agile project experience
