Freelance Mid-Level Data Analyst – Annuity and Life Insurance Domain

Role Description

We are seeking a freelance Data Analyst with hands-on expertise in Annuity and Life Insurance data lifecycles. You will work closely with business stakeholders to analyze, interpret, and map out insurance data, supporting ongoing digital initiatives and reinsurance deal implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform data discovery, cleansing, transformation, and modeling to support Life and Annuity business needs
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data mappings
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify root causes and data-driven solutions
• Support reinsurance deal implementations with solid knowledge of Annuity and Life cycles
• Work with offshore teams and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks
• Write clear and maintainable SQL queries, documentation, and data specifications

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years as a Data Analyst, ideally within IT or Insurance settings
• Strong working knowledge of the Life and Annuity data lifecycle
• Experience in implementing insurance deals, including reinsurance data handling
• Proficient in SQL and querying structured data from relational databases
• Ability to document source-to-target mappings and business data definitions

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in Life Insurance policy administration systems
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting and actuarial data requirements
• Strong communication and presentation skills for working with business stakeholders
• Experience working in hybrid global delivery models (onshore-offshore collaboration)
