Location: Alipore, Kolkata

Saman Tea Private Limited, India's largest tea exporter, is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic *Finance Manager* to join our team. We are looking for a professional with a strong background in banking and export finance, capable of managing complex financial operations within a high-volume international trade environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Banking Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact with various banks, fostering strong relationships with *Relationship Managers across multiple banking institutions* to facilitate smooth financial transactions, optimize banking services, and secure favorable terms.

Export Finance Operations:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of Export Bill Realization Certificate (EBRC) processes, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
  • Administer Packing Credit facilities, optimizing utilization and ensuring compliance with all banking norms.
  • Expertly handle Letters of Credit (LCs) – both import and export, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely negotiation.
  • Manage Post-Shipment financing, including bill discounting and other related financial instruments.
  • Execute Forward Rate bookings to mitigate foreign exchange risks and optimize profitability.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Ensure meticulous preparation and submission of all bank-to-bank documentation, adhering to international trade regulations and internal policies.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate Stock Statements to banks for credit facility monitoring.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive CMA (Credit Monitoring Arrangement) data to banks* for various credit facilities and renewals.
  • Develop and present bank proposals for new projects*, outlining financial viability, funding requirements, and repayment strategies.

Financial Strategy & Reporting:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial strategies to support the company's export growth.
  • Monitor financial performance against key metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements in financial operations.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the sales, logistics, and other internal teams to ensure seamless financial operations supporting export activities.

Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations, international trade laws, and company policies. Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with export operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CA, CMA) is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance, with a significant focus on 'export finance' within an export-oriented company.
  • Mandatory experience in banking operations*, demonstrating a strong understanding of banking products and services relevant to international trade.
  • Proven expertise in handling EBRC, Packing Credit, Letters of Credit, Post Shipment financing, Forward Rate booking, and bank-to-bank documentation.
  • Demonstrable experience in preparing and analyzing Stock Statements for banking purposes.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in dealing with multi-banking relationships.*
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with bank Relationship Managers.*
  • Experience in preparing CMA data and comprehensive bank proposals for new projects is essential.*

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of international trade finance instruments and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with banks and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Salary: Salary will be no bar for suitable candidate.
