It also supports the High Representative in her capacity as Vice-President of the Commission with regard to her responsibilities within the Commission in the external relations field, including the coordination of other aspects of the EU's external action. The EEAS works in close cooperation with the EU Member States, the General Secretariat of the Council, the services of the Commission and the Secretariat General of the European Parliament. The Division Arabian Peninsula and Iraq (MENA.4) is responsible for relations with the 6 GCC countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE), Yemen , and Iraq. In particular, we manage institutional engagement with those countries; coordinate internally, including with Member States and with relevant Commission services and Agencies, on EU policies towards those countries; interact with regional and international organizations, as well as civil society and the European Parliament, on all issues concerning the Gulf region, Yemen and Iraq.
