About the Role:

Ambimat Electronics is seeking a skilled and motivated Embedded Hardware Design/Test Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge R&D projects in embedded hardware design and testing across various application domains.

Preferred Qualification:

· Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar.

· Master’s degree in Embedded Systems or similar fields is preferred.

· A minimum of 1 year experience as a hardware design engineer or similar.

· Good understanding of software languages and integration processes.

· Exceptional attention to detail and precision.

· Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.

Skills & Requirements:

· In-depth knowledge of System Architecture and selection of appropriate hardware for a desired application covering low-power and mobile applications.

· Block Diagram generation, Schematic Generation, BoM Generation with package/footprint details.

· PCB Layout and Generation of Gerber files for PCB Production

· Initial testing of Bare Board testing and board bring-up in a stage-wise manner with self-test codes.

· Candidate should be self-motivated to work and create solutions for exciting R & D projects for embedded hardware in various domains.

· Understanding of RF protocols like Bluetooth LE, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, Cellular (M2M) etc.

· Experience with various protocols like I2C, SPI, USB, RS232, RS485 etc.

· Strong documentation and writing skills.

· Knowledge of at least two of the PCB design software like Altium (preferred), CadStar, Orcad, and Eagle.

· Should be open to working in a challenging environment with minimal supervision.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Meeting with design and engineering teams to determine hardware requirements.

· Designing and developing components such as printed circuit boards (PCB), processors, memory modules, and network components.

· Collaborating with software engineers to ensure software compatibility and integration with the hardware components.

· Testing hardware prototypes and analysing and interpreting performance data.

· Generating analytic and performance reports for presentation and revision.

· Troubleshooting and diagnosing errors and suggesting suitable repairs or modifications.

· Overseeing the manufacturing process of electrical components to ensure they meet the design specifications.

· Review datasheets and understand how to create schematic drawings (including schematic symbols) for embedded systems.

· Review design guidelines to create PCB layouts including PCB footprints.

· Be able to review the designs thoroughly and incorporate any changes as may be suggested by chip vendors.

· Generate the Bill of Material (BOM) for the design.

· Generate Gerber files and Fabrication instructions for PCBs.

· Be able to debug the PCB after PCB fabrication.

· Support firmware engineers with optimal hardware designs

· Implementing maintenance, repairs, and modifications to existing components.

· Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in computer technology and design trends.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Other Requirements:

· Must be able to commute or relocate to Ahmedabad, Gujarat prior to joining

· Total Work Experience: 1 year minimum (preferred)

· Work Location: On-site – Vastrapur, Ahmedabad

· Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
