Job Purpose

'DevOps Engineering Lead is liable for automating all the manual tasks for developing and deploying code and data to implement continuous deployment and continuous integration frameworks. They are also held responsible for maintaining high availability of production and non-production work environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

'- Drive engineering teams to converge towards devops best practices around cloud native applications, Kubernetes, Cloud Infrastructure, and other SaaS / IaaS platforms
  • Collaborate with business analysts in clearing points of confusion, project scope, identifying short falls of business requirements / user stories
  • Develop action plans to address areas needing improvement
  • Provide support to business units and ensure that stakeholders are well informed of the progress as well as of the risks.
  • Ensure that the team adheres to policies and procedures that are compliant with bank and regulatory policies
  • Identify and proactively make recommendations for continuous improvement on DevOps services provided.
  • Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights, and advice.
  • Deliver tasks based on project objectives; technically support projects through to completion. Ensure deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently of high-quality, documented and support transition of operational activities
  • Continuously be on the look out for emerging technologies, trends, threats and key challenges in underlying technologies, and plan and provide inputs on impact on the Bank.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to the team and stakeholder.

Secondary Responsibilities

'-Recommend improvements to processes and policies across the Digital Banking business to drive operational efficiencies and high quality customer service
  • Leverage in-house synergies through collaboration with internal stakeholders

Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities

'-Monitor key parameters on productivity, hiring quality and attrition rates and make necessary improvements.
  • Champion IDFC First's customer first culture by driving the team to take up high degree servicing norms to ensure absolute customer delight.
  • Attract and retain best-in-class talent for key roles in their reporting structure.
  • Mentoring and guiding the team members
  • Monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIs
