Your work will focus on creating robust monitoring and automation systems to minimize incidents.Unlike typical roles where you manage a single stack, this position demands the consolidation and optimization of multiple stacks, focusing on strategic database consolidation to enhance cost-effectiveness and management across our portfolio. What You Will Be Doing

• Orchestrating intricate infrastructure transformations, including migrating legacy systems to AWS cloud and executing lift-and-shift migrations
• Crafting and deploying monitoring strategies and building automations for operational workflows and software deployments
• Engaging in system monitoring, performing backups, responding to incidents, migrating and configuring databases, and optimizing costs

DevOps Architect Key Responsibilities

• Enhance cloud infrastructure reliability and standardization across our product portfolio by implementing advanced monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices.
  

Basic Requirements

• Extensive AWS infrastructure expertise (our primary platform; experience with other clouds alone is insufficient)
• Proficiency in programming with Python or JavaScript for automation and tooling
• Experience managing and migrating production databases with various engines (MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
• Advanced skills in Docker/Kubernetes
• Expertise in infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
• Proficiency in Linux systems administration

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
