Position: Deputy Project Manager (DPM) No. of Resources: 2 Level of Engagement: Full-time Qualification: Master’s degree in Management, Administration, Social Work, Rural Development, or a related discipline from any government-recognised university/institution. Experience: Minimum of 15 years of work experience in the Public Sector, preferably in the Social Sector. Experience in leading Women Empowerment of Rural Livelihood, multidisciplinary teams and managing projects as a lead member. Mandatory experience in World Bank-funded projects, along with relevant certificates as proof of involvement. Experience with initiatives related to women’s economic empowerment in West Bengal is highly desired. Skills and Competencies: Demonstrable management and coordination skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Bengali, along with presentation ability and analytical competency. Networking, advocacy, and negotiation skills. Willingness to travel to districts to provide technical assistance and ability to work on different assignments simultaneously to meet timelines. Non-discriminatory, transparent, and participative approach. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Roles and Responsibilities: Assist the State Project Manager (SPM) in the overall functioning of the Project Management Unit (PMU) and achieving the deliverables of the assignment. Support the Project Director and SPM in project management activities of the Women’s Economic Empowerment Project (WEP) in the state, including day-to-day management, planning, monitoring, stakeholder coordination and engagement, communications, and policy inputs. Support the preparation of Operational Guidelines and the Annual Action Plan for WEP and ensure the implementation of the same to achieve project Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLIs). Ensure timely and successful implementation of pilot initiatives by effectively utilising available resources, including onboarding thematic experts, designing, planning, implementing, and monitoring. Coordinate with the World Bank, DWCDSW, the Governing Body of WEP, and internal and external stakeholders for seamless operations. Support thematic experts (internal and external) in carrying out policy analysis and recommendations, research activities, monitoring and evaluation, documentation, knowledge management, and other components of WEP operations and overall project implementation. Perform any other tasks with specific deliverables for achieving project objectives as decided by the Project Director or SPM from time to time.
