Job Description

The Business Development Manager (BDM) in an Electric Vehicle (EV) store plays a crucial role in driving the growth and profitability of the business. Their responsibilities combine strategic planning, market analysis, customer relationship management, and sales optimization. Here is a breakdown of their roles and responsibilities : 1. Market Analysis & Strategy Development Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, customer segments, and emerging trends in the EV sector. Develop and implement business growth strategies aligned with industry trends and store goals. Analyze competitors and position the EV store effectively in the market. 2. Sales & Revenue Growth Drive sales performance by setting targets, monitoring KPIs, and optimizing sales strategies. Collaborate with the sales team to improve customer conversion rates and upselling opportunities. Explore and implement new revenue channels, such as corporate tie-ups, fleet sales, or subscription models. 3. Partnerships & Networking Build relationships with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), financing partners, service providers, and government agencies. Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships that enhance the store's offerings (e.g., EV chargers, maintenance packages). Attend EV industry events, expos, and trade shows to increase visibility and build connections. 4. Customer Relationship Management Develop initiatives to improve the customer experience, including test drives, feedback loops, and after-sales support. Collaborate with the marketing team to create loyalty programs and referral campaigns. Ensure excellent pre- and post-sale support to build long-term customer relationships. 5. Marketing & Promotions Plan and execute local marketing campaigns, promotions, and community outreach to raise awareness. Work with digital marketing teams for lead generation via online channels (SEO, social media, ads). Organize events and launch campaigns to promote new models or store services. 6. Product & Service Development Work with internal teams to introduce new EV models, accessories, or services based on customer demand. Monitor feedback and market trends to recommend product enhancements or new offerings. 7. Financial & Operational Oversight Monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure targets are met. Identify areas to improve operational efficiency or reduce costs. Report regularly to senior management with updates on business performance and strategic plans. 8. Regulatory & Compliance Awareness Stay informed about local and national EV-related regulations, subsidies, and policies. Ensure the store complies with legal standards and takes advantage of government incentives. In Summary: The BDM in an EV store is a growth leader —focused on expanding the store’s market presence, increasing sales, building partnerships, and enhancing the customer experience, all while navigating the fast-evolving electric mobility landscape. Salary will be 30-45 k per month Location – Chandigarh Timings – 9:30 am to 8 pm with 3 week off Male or female but should be local candidate and must have own vehicle Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹13,839.84 - ₹40,000.00 per month Schedule: Day shift Morning shift Supplemental Pay: Commission pay Performance bonus Yearly bonus Language: English (Preferred) Work Location: In person
