Job Description

Market Intelligence & Opportunity Tracking Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in public and private sector projects, PPPs, and international collaborations. Conduct regular market analysis to identify emerging trends and potential sectors for expansion. Maintain and update a centralized business development database including new leads, clients, consultants, sub-vendors, and competitors. Client & Stakeholder Engagement Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing and potential clients, industry partners, and government authorities. Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure client requirements are effectively communicated and met. Regular follow-up on submitted proposals and ensure timely updates to management. Coordinate and follow up for outstanding client payments as required. Proposal & Bid Management Work closely with the technical and proposal teams to develop competitive and compliant bid submissions. Review tender documents, identify bid requirements, and prepare EOI/RFP responses. Ensure timely and accurate submission of all business development documents. Strategic Planning & Reporting Contribute to the development of annual business development plans, sales strategies, and revenue forecasts. Provide regular reporting on business development metrics, lead conversion, and market feedback to senior management. Suggest and implement initiatives to improve brand presence, client acquisition, and market penetration. Collaboration & Networking Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and forums to enhance brand visibility. Collaborate with internal departments to align business development efforts with organizational goals. Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory 5–7 years of total experience, with at least 3 years in business development, preferably within a civil engineering consultancy firm. MBA or Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in Business Management, Marketing, or related field is highly desirable. Familiarity with government procurement processes, e-tendering platforms, and PPP frameworks will be advantageous. Key Skills & Competencies:Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strategic and analytical thinking Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under deadlines, and deliver high-quality outputs Sound understanding of infrastructure projects and civil engineering consultancy practices
