Role Overview

We are seeking dynamic, research-oriented, and industry-aligned faculty members to join our Operations Management department. We have openings across various levels – Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor. Our goal is to cultivate future-ready operations leaders by blending academic rigor with the latest industry practices, particularly those relevant to the rapidly evolving Indian industrial landscape. We value excellence in teaching, impactful research, and strong industry engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary based on the faculty rank, reflecting increasing levels of leadership, research contribution, and strategic involvement.

• Teaching & Learning:
• Deliver engaging and effective instruction in core and advanced Operations Management areas at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Integrate contemporary global trends, Indian industry case studies, and practical applications into curriculum design and delivery.
• Develop innovative teaching methodologies that foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Research & Scholarship:
• Conduct high-quality, impactful research in Operations Management, with a focus on areas relevant to modern industry (e.g., Industry 4.0, digital operations, supply chain analytics, sustainable operations, lean methodologies).
• Publish consistently in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals and present at leading conferences.
• Secure research grants and contribute to the broader academic discourse.
• Industry Engagement:
• Build and maintain strong linkages with Indian industries to facilitate collaborative projects, guest lectures, internships, and executive training.
• Bridge academic theory with real-world operational challenges and opportunities.
• Mentorship & Service:
• Guide and mentor students in academic projects, internships, and career development.
• (For Associate/Professor levels) Mentor junior faculty members and foster a collaborative research environment.
• Actively participate in departmental, institutional, and professional service, contributing to curriculum development, quality assurance, and strategic initiatives.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• For Assistant Professor:
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Operations Management teaching or academic research (post-Master's or post-Ph.D. as applicable).
• Education: Ph.D. in Operations Management or a closely related discipline from a recognized university (candidates submitting thesis are also encouraged to apply). Master’s Degree (MBA/M.Tech/equivalent) with specialization in Operations Management from a recognized institution with strong academic standing.
• Research: Some evidence of publications or conference presentations in the Operations Management area.
• For Associate Professor:
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of full-time teaching/research experience as an Assistant Professor in Operations Management.
• Education: Ph.D. in Operations Management or a relevant specialization from a recognized university. Master’s Degree (MBA/M.Tech/equivalent) with specialization in Operations Management from a recognized institution.
• Research: A strong and consistent publication record in peer-reviewed journals, indicating a growing research profile.
• For Professor:
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive teaching, research, and leadership experience as an Associate Professor in Operations Management.
• Education: Ph.D. in Operations Management or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution. Master’s Degree (MBA/M.Tech/equivalent) with specialization in Operations Management from a recognized institution.
• Research: An outstanding and sustained research profile with a significant number of publications in highly reputable journals, successful research supervision (Ph.D. completions), and potential for securing research grants.

Skills & Attributes

• Analytical & Technical Prowess: Strong command of quantitative and qualitative methods, proficiency in essential OM software and analytical tools (e.g., ERP systems, simulation software, statistical tools like R/Python for operations analytics, digital supply chain platforms, data visualization).
• Pedagogical Excellence: Ability to deliver engaging and effective instruction, leveraging interactive teaching methods, real-world case studies, and practical applications relevant to Indian industry.
• Research Acumen: A keen interest in contributing to knowledge, with a clear research agenda focused on contemporary and future challenges in operations and supply chain management.
• Industry Awareness: Deep understanding of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the Indian industrial landscape (e.g., Industry 4.0, sustainable operations, supply chain resilience, lean, agile methodologies).
• Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and industry professionals.
• Adaptability: Eagerness to learn, adapt, and integrate emerging technologies and concepts into both teaching and research.

Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month
