🌟 Role: Assistant Merchandising Manager (Textiles & Ethnic Wear)

What You’ll Do:

• Manage inventory and assortments specifically for textile products (silk, cotton-silk, organza, handloom).
• Collaborate with production, design, and sales teams to translate fabric trends and customer demand into merchandising strategy.
• Monitor fabric and saree stock—maintain reorder levels, forecast demand, and minimize stockouts or overstock.
• Support launches of new saree collections—coordinate sample dispatch, approval cycles, and launch timelines.
• Analyze sales metrics to identify top-performing SKUs; adjust assortments and pricing accordingly.
• Engage directly with vendors, weavers, and internal teams to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
• Provide on-floor or remote support to clients, distributors, or showroom teams regarding assortments and stock availability.
• Contribute insights for promotions, discounts, and new textile range rollouts.

Who You Are:

• Resident of Surat (Magob/Saroli/Udhana/etc.) or willing to relocate locally.
• Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Apparel Merchandising, Business, or related field.
• 2–4 years of merchandising or inventory experience in textiles, sarees, or ethnic wear.
• Hands-on experience with silk, cotton-silk, organza, handloom, or Banarasi textiles.
• Strong analytical skills—comfortable with sales data, forecasting, and inventory planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills (with internal teams and external vendors).
• Organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced production-merchandising environment.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to weaving clusters or liaison with Surat’s zari/print mills.
• Basic knowledge of Surat’s textile landscape (power looms, dye houses, zari craft).
• Experience working in textile export houses or manufacturing units.
