Job Description

The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, preparing reports, and supporting internal and external audits. This role plays a key part in financial planning and decision-making.

Financial Management:

  • Manage and supervise daily accounting operations including AP, AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliation
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closures
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Monitor cash flow and assist in budget preparation and forecasting

Compliance & Taxation:

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and income tax
  • File monthly/quarterly/annual returns (GST, TDS, etc.)
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities as required

Team Supervision:

  • Lead and guide the accounts team
  • Review work of junior accountants to ensure accuracy
  • Train and develop accounting staff

Vendor and Client Management:

  • Oversee vendor payments and ensure timely settlements
  • Manage customer invoicing and payment collections
  • Maintain good relationships with stakeholders

Internal Controls & Reporting:

  • Implement and monitor internal financial controls
  • Generate MIS reports for management decision-making
  • Support internal/external audit processes

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA in Finance; CA/ICWA (preferred or in progress)
  • Experience: 5–10 years in accounting/finance roles with at least 2 years in a managerial position in Hospital Industry
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Zoho Books)
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of applicable tax laws and regulatory compliance
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
