DMO - MBBS

The Duty Medical Officer (DMO) is responsible for providing round-the-clock medical care to patients, handling emergencies, and coordinating with specialist doctors as needed. The DMO ensures that patients receive timely and appropriate medical attention in accordance with hospital protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage inpatient and outpatient cases during assigned duty hours
• Attend to emergency and casualty cases and initiate first-line treatment
• Maintain patient records, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-ups
• Coordinate with consultants and specialists for critical cases
• Perform clinical procedures such as IV insertion, suturing, and resuscitation
• Ensure proper handover of cases between shifts
• Monitor patient vitals, progress notes, and nursing care quality
• Attend code blue and medical emergencies promptly
• Maintain timely documentation and reports as per hospital norms
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical ethics, and hygiene standards
• Supervise junior doctors, interns, and nursing staff during shift

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: MBBS (Mandatory); Registration with Medical Council
• Experience: 0–3 years of clinical experience preferred (Freshers can apply)
• Skills Required:
• Strong clinical judgment and emergency handling
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Work Conditions:

• Rotational Shifts (Day/Night/Weekend)
• Hospital-based setting, including emergency and ICU environments
• May require extended working hours during emergencies
