Reporting into the Lead Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be: Developing the Xceptor and SmartDX applications Working with colleagues in the team and across the business in a caring and collaborative manner Embrace the testing and delivery into production of any changes made Provide 3rd line (development) support when required and propose solutions to ensure maximum service availability Skills and Qualifications To achieve these things, you ll have relevant experience and will have been successful in a similar role with broad and solid technical experience of the Xceptor application. Your appreciation of the technical and functional aspects of the Markets and Treasury businesses and functions should cover some of these areas but rest assured, we wont expect you to know everything Experience of Object Oriented development C# and/or Python. A solid understanding of database and application server technologies and operating systems as well as database concepts (Win 22 Server, SQL Server 22) with experience of developing stored procedures and functions. A build level knowledge of Xceptor or similar configurations, ideally with exposure to confirmation matching & processing, settlements related workflows and settlement control type functions. Exposure to trade and regulatory reconciliations would be an advantage. Exposure to the Xceptor and/or SmartDX applications. A knowledge of SWIFT (MT) and ISO20022 (MX) financial messaging types, data structures and formats. Exposure to Agile methodologies. Provide troubleshooting and problem assistance to Production support and testing teams Create documentation for all development work undertaken and have a documentation mindset to effectively share information across the team/s. An understanding of Markets/Treasury asset classes, products and their associated trade lifecycles. Familiarity with the concept of automated testing and process automation. A grounding in application and database security concepts and controls. Experience of migrations/transfers to/from application platforms
