Wordpress Developer Intern

Job Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic WordPress Developer Intern to join our dynamic web development team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students or fresh graduates to gain hands-on experience with WordPress theme development, plugin customization, website maintenance, and optimization. You will work alongside senior developers to contribute to ongoing projects and learn about the latest WordPress technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• WordPress Theme Development & Customization:
• Assist in creating and customizing WordPress themes based on design specifications.
• Modify and update existing themes to meet client needs or project requirements.
• Plugin Development & Customization:
• Work on integrating and customizing WordPress plugins to enhance site functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plugins and compatibility.
• Website Maintenance:
• Help maintain and update WordPress websites, ensuring they run smoothly.
• Perform regular updates to WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
• Bug Fixing & Troubleshooting:
• Assist with identifying and fixing bugs or issues on WordPress websites.
• Help ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness of websites.
• Optimization:
• Support optimization tasks such as improving website speed and performance.
• Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings for WordPress websites.
• Collaborate with the Team:
• Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Attend regular meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and new technologies.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Document code changes, updates, and customizations.
• Provide progress reports to supervisors and suggest areas for improvement.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, IT, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Familiarity with WordPress CMS and its themes/plugins.
• Experience with website debugging, version control (Git), and development tools.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure high-quality code and performance.
• Learning Mindset: Eagerness to learn and grow in the WordPress development field.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team.

Job Type: Internship
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹8,000.00 per month
