Team Management: Lead and coordinate the CNC machinist team, ensuring adherence to production targets, safety protocols, and quality standards. Tooling & Machine Maintenance: Select appropriate cutting tools, manage tool life, and coordinate preventive maintenance of CNC machines to minimize downtime. Quality Control: Review machining operations using measuring tools (Vernier, micrometers, height gauges) and ensure parts are produced according to the drawing/specifications. Process Improvement: Continuously monitor machining operations for efficiency and suggest improvements in programming, tooling, or methods to reduce cycle time and waste. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain daily production records, update job sheets, and report issues to management regularly.
