Responsibilities
Systems Administration for all internal IT compute and storage consumption across Quest including:Data Center infrastructurePhysical infrastructureOS complianceBackup and DR servicesPower, access, capacity management and planningVMware Hypervisor technologies and associated software suites, VCS, Aria EtcSystems Patching and security compliance
Specific Team Member Related Responsibilities Include
IT Infrastructure Data Center Server team case management, and operational reporting to the IT Infrastructure Data Center Server ManagerThe execution of IT Infrastructure Data Center Server team specific initiatives and projects, often with multiple internal customers.Collaboration with IT Infrastructure teams peers (Network, Services & Ops) to achieve shared IT Infrastructure departmental goals and objectivesIT Infrastructure Data Center Server team Change Management processesIT Infrastructure Data Center Server team OnCall and after hours SupportContinual technical training and skill developmentAll IT Infrastructure Data Center and Server team related documentation, runbooks, and processes.
Qualifications
The position of IT Infrastructure Systems Administrator requires the following qualifications:An in-depth understanding of the basic principles behind infrastructure processes and proceduresStrong written, verbal and presentation skillsGood analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to quickly understand both business and technical conceptsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical customersSelf motivated, quality driven, customer focusedUnderstands and embraces cultural diversityProven ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads5+ years of relevant IT Infrastructure administrative experience
