Job Description
CRA is an engineering company with over 30 years of experience delivering custom-engineered systems to the Energy and Defence sectors. We design and manufacture robust, high-performance systems including combustion equipment, biogas solutions, gas flaring systems, and defence-grade weapon handling equipment.
Everything is manufactured in-house across two units in NCR, supported by internal design, QA, procurement, and project teams. Our operations are growing in complexity, and we are now strengthening our Stores function with experienced professionals who can bring process control, discipline, and project-level traceability.
We are hiring a Stores Manager to lead all stores operations across both manufacturing units. This includes project-wise material handling, inventory accuracy, documentation, inter-department coordination, vendor receipts, and internal issuance control. The role requires strong people management, system enforcement, and the ability to work closely with production, procurement, and QA.
The Stores Manager will play a key role in improving discipline, preparing for ERP implementation, and supporting ISO 9001 readiness.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Control & Discipline
Ensure proper receipt, tagging, and binning of all incoming materials
Maintain project-wise traceability of inventory
Implement FIFO, proper stacking, and physical layout control
Prevent loss, pilferage, or misplacement of items
2. Documentation & Reporting
Oversee timely and accurate GRNs, MRS logs, and daily issue registers
Coordinate with Procurement for PO verification and rejection handling
Maintain up-to-date stock registers (manual or system-based)
Support daily/weekly stock reports and monthly physical stock audits
3. Project Coordination
Maintain material availability based on project priorities
Communicate with Planning, Production, and QA to align issue schedules
Ensure readiness of bought-out items and vendor-supplied components
4. Inter-Unit & Vendor Receipts
Manage material transfers between Unit 1 and Unit 2
Receive and verify items from vendors (coating, fabrication, packaging, etc.)
Document and escalate quality issues with QA and Procurement
5. System & Process Improvement
Prepare for ERP integration of inventory workflows
Enforce store zoning, labelling, and visual control
Lead cycle count audits and support annual stock reconciliation
6. Team Management
Supervise storekeepers, assistants, and loaders across both units
Allocate responsibilities, ensure shift coverage, and monitor discipline
Train team on documentation, SOPs, and physical handling

Education
Graduate in any discipline (technical or logistics preferred)
Certification in Inventory Management or ERP is a plus
Experience
6–10 years in stores/inventory function in a manufacturing company
Prior experience with project-based inventory control preferred
Hands-on knowledge of GRN/MRS processes, audit prep, and warehouse safety
Skills
Strong team supervision and store-floor control
Familiarity with ERP systems, Excel, and inventory workflows
Ability to build discipline and reduce documentation gaps
