Job Title: Senior QA/QC Engineer
Project Type: ASBL Broadway - Mivan High-Rise Residential Construction
Experience Required: 4–7 Years
Location: Financial District - Gachibowli | Hyderabad.
Reporting To: Project Manager / QA/QC Head
Job Responsibilities:1. Quality Planning & Supervision:
- Review project specifications, method statements, and drawings to develop quality assurance plans.
- Establish quality control procedures and ensure implementation at all project stages.
- Plan and supervise quality-related activities specific to Mivan shuttering, RCC works, waterproofing, blockwork, plastering, tiling, etc.
2. Mivan Work Specific Oversight:
- Inspect and verify alignment, plumb, and level of Mivan shuttering before concreting.
- Ensure proper fixing of Mivan panels, supports, release agents, and pre-concreting preparations.
- Monitor concrete pouring activities, ensure proper compaction, curing, and finish.
- Conduct de-shuttering inspections and raise any defects or deviations with actionable feedback.
3. Site Inspection & Quality Control:
- Conduct stage-wise quality inspections (pre-pour, during pour, post-pour) with documented checklists.
- Verify reinforcement as per bar bending schedules and ensure proper cover blocks, spacing, and lapping.
- Monitor material deliveries, sampling, and on-site/off-site testing as per IS standards.
4. Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, material approvals, cube test reports, pour cards, and daily quality logs.
- Prepare QA/QC documentation for internal audits, client inspections, and third-party verifications.
- Ensure timely submission and tracking of NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and implement corrective actions.
5. Coordination & Communication:
- Liaise with project management, consultants, client engineers, and third-party labs for approvals and inspections.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits and assist in implementing audit recommendations.
- Provide technical guidance to site engineers and subcontractors regarding quality standards and procedures.
6. Training & Compliance:
- Conduct toolbox talks and quality awareness programs for site teams and labor.
- Promote quality and safety culture on site in line with ISO/QMS protocols.
- Ensure all quality activities are aligned with project timelines and company standards.
7. Finishing & Handover Stage:
- Supervise quality of finishing works such as internal/external plaster, painting, waterproofing, flooring, etc.
- Prepare snag lists and ensure timely rectification before final client handover.
Required Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Mivan construction methodology and high-rise RCC structures.
- Strong command over IS codes, QA/QC processes, and material testing procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD (for drawing review), and QA/QC reporting tools.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to manage quality teams and vendor quality.
Qualifications:
- B.Tech /M.Tech
- QA/QC Certification (if any) is an added advantage
- 4 to 7 years of site-based QA/QC experience in high-rise Mivan projects
