Senior QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze system specifications and requirements.
• Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Execute manual test cases and report bugs and errors to development teams.
• Suggest and implement improvements in testing procedures and quality processes.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and clients to ensure software quality at every stage.
• Perform regression testing and ensure issues are resolved before release.
• Optionally contribute to test automation efforts (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
• Take part in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups as part of an agile team.
• Document test findings, processes, and metrics clearly and accurately.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in QA/testing.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test scripts.
• Proven ability to detect, document, and track software defects effectively.
• Experience with web application testing, cross-browser testing, and mobile testing.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Jira, ClickUp, or similar.
• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  

Preferred (Optional) Skills

• Basic experience in automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and testing in DevOps environments.
