Senior Backend Developer (Java)

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Java) with strong experience in designing and developing robust backend systems. This role requires a deep understanding of Java, hands-on experience with either Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS), and a passion for delivering high-performance, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks)
• Build and deploy scalable microservices on Azure or AWS
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, design, and deliver high-quality software
• Implement secure and reliable integrations with external systems
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Follow best practices in CI/CD, testing, and monitoring

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience using Java
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Azure or AWS (Compute, Storage, Networking, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and Spring Boot
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and principles
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
• Familiarity with Terraform or other IaC tools
• Certification in AWS or Azure
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
