Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior AccountantJob Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. This role involves managing financial statements, budgeting, tax reporting, and internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
• Manage and monitor accounting procedures and policies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate audits and assist with internal and external auditors.
• Maintain and improve internal control systems.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and regulatory reporting.
• Support Accounts Payable and Receivable teams as needed.
• Analyze financial information to summarize current financial status.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field .
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience; 2+ years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a specific industry (e.g., manufacturing, finance, tech).
• Familiarity with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
