Job Title: Sales Executive – Travel Agency

Department: Sales & Marketing

Location: ranchi

Job Type: Full-time

Reporting to: Sales Manager / Branch Manager

Job Summary:

As a Sales Executive at our travel agency, you will be responsible for generating leads, converting inquiries into bookings, promoting travel packages, and maintaining client relationships. Your role will be central to driving revenue and ensuring customer satisfaction by offering tailored travel solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Conversion:
  • Identify and target potential customers through cold calling, walk-ins, referrals, and digital platforms.
  • Convert leads into confirmed bookings.
  • Sales & Promotion:
  • Promote travel products and holiday packages, including flights, hotels, tours, visa services, and insurance.
  • Explain package features, inclusions, pricing, and customization options.
  • Client Servicing:
  • Understand client travel requirements and suggest appropriate itineraries.
  • Provide post-booking support, including documentation and itinerary updates.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Build long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Maintain a strong database of existing and potential customers.
  • Coordination:
  • Coordinate with suppliers, airlines, hoteliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
  • Target Achievement:
  • Meet monthly sales targets and contribute to overall business goals.
  • Reporting:
  • Maintain daily sales reports, enquiry logs, and follow-up records.
  • Provide feedback and market insights to the management.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate in any discipline (preference to Tourism or Hospitality background).
  • Experience: 1-3 years in travel sales or a similar role (Freshers with good communication skills may also apply).
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and international destinations.
  • Good understanding of ticketing, travel products, and customer service.
  • Proficient in MS Office, CRM software, or booking platforms.
