Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth for our goods transport services. This role requires a strong understanding of the logistics and transportation industry, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development:


  • Identify and target potential clients across various industries (e.g., manufacturing, retail, e-commerce) who require goods transportation services.
  • Generate new leads through market research, cold calling, networking.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new business and expand the customer base.
  • Conduct client meetings to showcase Sharma Translink's services and value proposition.
  • Client Relationship Management:


  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new clients, understanding their logistical needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Regularly follow up with clients to ensure smooth service delivery and identify opportunities for cross-selling destinations.
  • Sales & Negotiation:


  • Prepare and present compelling proposals, quotations, and contracts to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate rates, terms, and conditions of services to ensure profitability while meeting client expectations.
  • Work towards achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Market & Industry Knowledge:


  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, competitor activities, and regulatory changes within the Indian logistics and transportation sector.
  • Utilize market insights to identify growth opportunities and develop competitive solutions.
  • Coordination & Reporting:


  • Collaborate closely with the operations, dispatch, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of services and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, client databases (CRM), forecasts, and activity reports.
  • Provide regular reports to management on sales performance, market feedback, and client requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12th graduate
  • 1-3 years of proven sales experience, preferably in the goods transport, logistics, or freight forwarding industry. Freshers with exceptional communication and a strong drive for sales will also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of road logistics operations, and supply chain concepts in India.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in Hindi and Kannada is essential;
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within Bengaluru and surrounding regions.
  • Have own two wheeler.
