Job Description – As a Visual Management Surveyor, one has to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of visual management practices in an industrial process plant. The role involves conducting surveys, understanding hazards, visual parameters, identifying areas for improvement in visual communication, and developing strategies to enhance visual management practices using BRIGS’ proprietary HOUSE of BRIGS tool. Collaboration with other professionals to align visual management practices with company goals is also required. Roles: As a Visual Management Surveyor, survey and assessment must be done based on BRIGS’ proprietary HOUSE of BRIGS. visual implementation tool. Roles will encompass the following: Signs: This category includes all types of signs, such as safety signs, warning signs, informational signs, and directional signs. It is important to ensure that signs are placed in appropriate locations, are easily visible, and convey the desired message effectively. Labels and Markings: This category includes labels and markings used to identify equipment, tools, products, and materials. Labels and markings should be clear, concise, and easy to read. Visual Controls: This category includes visual aids used to control processes, such as gauges, meters, and displays. These aids should be accurate, easy to read, and easily accessible. Displays: This category includes displays used to communicate information to employees, such as dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics. Displays should be updated regularly and provide relevant and timely information. Visual Workplace Organization: This category includes visual aids used to organize the workplace, such as color coding, shadow boards, and floor markings. These aids should help employees quickly and easily find tools, equipment, and materials. Visual Problem Solving: This category includes visual aids used to identify and solve problems, such as flowcharts, diagrams, and graphs. These aids should help employees quickly and easily identify the root cause of problems and develop solutions. Knowledge and understanding of P&ID diagrams and SLD diagrams is preferrable. Strong knowledge of regulations and standards such as OSHA, NFPA, and ANSI and other applicable local/international standard is also necessary. Responsibilities: 1. Survey: Conduct visual management surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of visual management practices in the workplace as per HOUSE of BRIGS. Make the application-based Bill of Material (BOM), compiling a comprehensive list of required materials, consumables, and resources (BOM) for visual project implementation. Have a BOM discussion with customer and collect the relevant and applicable data as per the approved BOM Ensuring accuracy and completeness of data capture and compilation during visual management surveys. Filing project-related data appropriately to ensure easy accessibility and monitoring. 2. Material Entry: Coordinating with the backend team for the conversion and delivery of materials (labels, backing material, consumables) required for the project. Ensuring quality checking, segregation, and proper identification of signage section-wise for improved efficiency of the site team. Effective management of material rejection, missing labels, and arrows, resulting in reduced delays and improved project timelines. Documentation and summary required for service entry (SRN). Billing summary as per the weekly forecast to be given to accounts team for invoice generation. Ensuring that the GRN process and gate entry process is adhered, and GRN/SRN is cleared in 7 working days. 3. Installation and Execution: Ensuring primary labelling at appropriate locations along with customer. Providing training to technicians, supervisors and site in-charges on general safety, company-specific instructions, Brigs' visual management tools, material competency, correct label pasting techniques, challenges, and record keeping. Develop a day wise execution plan with supervisor for daily output monitoring. Ensuring that the day wise plan is discussed in morning meeting. Conducting quality checks and ensuring prompt rejection of any substandard material. Conducting GAP analyses and implementing necessary rework to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of visual management. Submitting daily reports to Brigs' office and the customer regarding the progress of the project.
