Quality Assurance Lead

Job Purpose

Purpose Quality lead has end-to-end responsibility for ensuring technology product quality including feature testing, integration testing, QA best practices, QA team hiring, mentoring and managing, QA planning, QA automation, rollout and production quality.

Key Accountabilities & Support Actions

Technology strategy and design

• Know the domain/ business: Stay on top of business strategy, customer value prop and technology enablement for respective domains

• Technology strategy and plan: Stay on top of technology objectives, architecture paradigms, build vs. buy decisions and technology plans

• QA ways of working: Ensure adoption of QA best practices within team

• Own technology and system integration QA

QA team building

• Call out hiring needs for respective team and co-own hiring

• Call out vendor engagement needs and co-own vendor selection, onboarding and managing

• Know the team: Understand and leverage/ address the strengths, weaknesses and risks with different teams and individuals (vendor side also)

• Train, mentor and motivate the respective QA teams

• Responsible for team feedback, performance reviews, growth paths and retention of QA team members

QA execution

• Own QA goals, milestones and execution in collaboration with product, engineering, support and program manager

• Own QA of functionality, system integration, usability and NFR

• System level functionality QA via establishing and auditing engineering testing best practices
• End to end integration QA via QA team execution
• NFR –setting standards and ensuring compliance across Directly responsible for quality of feature roll out, production quality, user experience and stabilization

• Own production quality – track production issues and create a feedback loop to improve feature, usability or process

• Own techno-functional design, code quality, flexible/ modular design and rules driven behavior for QA automation
