QA Engineer(SQL)

QA - Job Duties:
• Good Understanding of Energy Sector and Fundamental Utilities Operations Knowledge is preferred.• Participates in requirements reviews, design reviews and facilitates the testing process.• Perform functional, regression and integration testing to cater the requirements.• Design, document and execute Test Scenarios and Test Cases.• Manually creates and input test data, programs or extracted production data to execute Test Cases.• Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.• Execute SQL queries to validate data accuracy and integrity.• Identify and propose Test Scenarios to thoroughly test the Test Scope.• Identify, document, and communicate defects and issues to development teams and coordinate resolutions.• Modifies Test Plans in accordance with changing requirements.• Comprehensive Testing of APIs, encompassing endpoint validation and analysis of request-response behavior.• Ensuring that standards for production applications are followed.• Prepare weekly Test Cycle status reports and manage all Test Cycles scope.Skills/Qualifications:• Must have 5+ years’ experience in hands-on Quality Assurance role.• Expertise in documenting Manual Test Scripts/Scenarios based on process or project documentation.• Experienced in using Test Management tools. (JIRA - Test Management Add-On).• Familiar with Web based Applications testing. (Prior experience with Web application testing is • highly desired).• Hands-on experience in writing and executing SQL queries. Must be a SQL expert.• Review defects and work closely with BA's and Developers.• Conduct daily defect meeting, to triage and ensure defects are being addressed in a timely manner.• Proficiency in API testing using API client tools.• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development Methodologies.• Hands-on experience in writing Selenium scripts for creating and modifying frameworks is a plus
