This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 500000 - Rs 800000 (ie INR 5-8 LPA)

Location: IndiaJobType: full-timeWe are looking for a detail-oriented and passionate QA Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys identifying bugs, improving processes, and ensuring top-notch product quality across the software development lifecycle. As a QA Engineer, you will be an integral part of our product and engineering teams, helping us deliver high-quality software that meets user expectations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Understand business requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to design and execute effective test plans and test cases
Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing
Log detailed, accurate, and reproducible bugs in the defect tracking system and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution
Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and product reviews to understand project goals and contribute to QA-related inputs
Collaborate with developers and product managers to refine requirements and proactively identify edge cases or usability issues
Validate new features and enhancements as well as conduct end-to-end testing of existing functionality
Continuously improve QA processes, test strategies, and documentation
Stay updated on the latest QA tools, testing techniques, and industry best practices

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:

1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in manual and/or automation testing
Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test scripts
Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar
Good knowledge of browser debugging tools, REST APIs, and client-server architecture
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Good-to-Have Skills (Preferred but not Mandatory):

Exposure to any automation testing framework (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG)
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems like Jenkins and Git
Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java
