Grinntech is a dynamic and innovative full-stack lithium battery tech startup committed to powering the electrification of Indian and global mobility. We are looking for an experienced and strategic Purchase Manager to lead our procurement and vendor management processes. The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and timely sourcing of materials while optimizing supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement & Sourcing:
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet production and business requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective and quality materials.
  • Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, components, and consumables to support seamless production.
  • Vendor Management & Negotiation:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Conduct vendor audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to optimize procurement costs and enhance supplier reliability.
  • Inventory & Cost Optimization:
  • Work closely with the PPC and Stores team to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and industry developments to improve purchasing strategies.
  • Process & Compliance Management:
  • Ensure procurement processes adhere to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Streamline purchasing workflows and introduce best practices to improve operational efficiency.
  • Handle purchase documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in ERP tools (SAP, Oracle, or similar) for procurement and inventory management.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management, procurement strategies, and vendor negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for supplier and internal stakeholder coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple suppliers and procurement tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in battery manufacturing or automotive supply chains is a plus.
