Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Head to lead the procurement function in our Gems & Jewelry production company, specializing in gold close setting and open setting jewelry, including diamonds and gemstones. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing high-quality raw materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement to meet production and corporate client demands.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute procurement strategies for gold, diamonds, gemstones, and other raw materials required for jewelry production.

· Identify and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors for sourcing high-quality materials at competitive prices.

· Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers while ensuring cost efficiency and quality standards.

· Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials for production without overstocking.

· Collaborate with design, production, and sales teams to align procurement with business and customer requirements.

· Stay updated on market trends, gold rates, diamond pricing, and gemstone availability to make informed purchasing decisions.

· Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, ethical sourcing standards, and industry certifications

· Implement effective vendor evaluation and performance monitoring processes.

· Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high quality and sustainability in sourcing.

· Oversee logistics, shipment, and supply chain operations to prevent delays in procurement and production.

· Maintain accurate procurement records, budgets, and reports for management review.

Preferred Skills:

· Experience and knowledge of Supply Chain Management

· Experience in procurement within the Gems & Jewelry industry.

· Strong knowledge of gold, diamond grading, gemstone sourcing, and jewelry manufacturing processes.

· Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and contract handling skills.

· Understanding of commodity pricing, international trade, and import/export regulations.

· Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and procurement software.

· Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and improve operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

· Experience in corporate jewelry sourcing and large-scale procurement.

· Familiarity with ethical sourcing certifications and industry compliance.

· Knowledge of global gemstone markets and direct sourcing strategies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
