Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced PostgreSQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in database development, with a strong focus on PostgreSQL, SQL, and PL/pgSQL. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining PostgreSQL databases and related applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and data integrity. Responsibilities: · Database Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases and related applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards. · SQL and PL/pgSQL Expertise: Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers using PL/pgSQL. · Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in PostgreSQL databases and applications. · Data Modeling: Create and maintain logical and physical data models for PostgreSQL databases. · Data Migration: Assist with data migration and integration projects, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. · Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices. · Troubleshooting and Debugging: Troubleshoot and debug issues related to PostgreSQL databases and applications. · Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation for PostgreSQL databases and applications. · Collaboration: Collaborate with other developers, DBAs, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Qualifications: Education: · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: · 4+ years of experience in database development, with a strong focus on PostgreSQL. · Technical Skills: · Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL. · Experience with database design and modeling. · Experience with database performance tuning and optimization. · Experience with data migration and integration. · Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems. Soft Skills: · Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
