Job Description

Job Title: National Sales Manager (NSM) – Footwear(Retail & Distribution)

Location: Ludhiana, Punjab
Industry: Footwear / Retail / Apparel
Experience: 8 to 12 years
Qualification: Graduate / MBA preferred
Reporting To: Director

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Design and implement national sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Plan and execute channel-wise and region-wise sales plans (retail, distribution, e-commerce, modern trade, etc.).
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, market trends, and adjust plans accordingly.

Marketing Strategy & Brand Management

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales initiatives with brand campaigns.
  • Strengthen brand positioning and visibility in target markets through sales-led marketing activities.
  • Participate in promotional planning, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.

Market Research & Business Intelligence

  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and competitor strategies.
  • Leverage customer insights, buying patterns, and regional demand data to influence product mix and pricing.
  • Drive innovation in product placement and selling techniques based on consumer behavior.

Team Leadership & Budget Management

  • Lead, train, and motivate a national sales team including Regional Managers, Area Sales Managers, and frontline staff.
  • Manage national sales budgets, monitor spend vs revenue targets, and ensure cost-efficiency.

Strategic Planning & Expansion

  • Drive long-term planning for market expansion, including entry into new territories.
  • Forge and nurture relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic input to the product development team for customer-driven collections.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8–12 years of progressive sales experience in the footwear industry.
  • Proven track record in national sales management, retail/distribution strategy, and team leadership.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and sales performance tools.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel extensively across India.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and competitive environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month

  • Day shift
