Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Management Trainee – Purchase to join our procurement team. This is an entry-level role designed to groom high-potential candidates into future procurement and logistics leaders. The selected candidate will be exposed to various aspects of supply chain operations including sourcing, vendor development, SAP-based procurement, and advanced analytics using Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the procurement of raw materials, consumables, and services under the guidance of the Purchase Head.
• Work with SAP modules to create and manage purchase orders, vendor data, and stock movements.
• Float enquiries, gather quotations, and assist in creating comparative analyses.
• Monitor delivery schedules and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely material dispatch and delivery.
• Support the logistics team in coordination of inward material movement and GRN processing.
• Analyze purchase and inventory data using advanced Excel functions (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros).
• Participate in vendor evaluation and development initiatives.
• Assist in maintaining procurement documentation, rate contracts, and ISO-related records.
• Collaborate with departments such as production, quality, and finance for seamless procurement operations.
• Prepare MIS reports and dashboards for senior management review.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE) and MBA in Supply Chain Management / Logistics (preferred).
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Advanced Excel (formulas, dashboards, data analysis).
• Exposure to SAP (MM module preferred) through internships, academic projects, or certifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset and ability to learn quickly.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Preferred Attributes:

• Internship or project experience in purchase/logistics/supply chain.
• Knowledge of raw material procurement in the manufacturing sector.
• Familiarity with basic import/export documentation is an added advantage.
• Willingness to work in a plant-based environment and travel as needed.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹330,448.59 - ₹1,416,174.60 per year
