Legal Associate

Responsibilities:

• Legal Research:

  Conduct thorough legal research to support the company's legal needs, including compliance with IT laws and regulations.

• Document Drafting:

  Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to IT services, software licensing including open-source software and IP infringements, and vendor agreements.

• Compliance:

  Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including data protection, intellectual property, and cybersecurity laws.

• Dispute Resolution:

  Assist in handling legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation, and work with external legal counsel as needed.

• Policy Development:

  Develop and update internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.

• Client Interaction:

  Communicate with clients and stakeholders to address legal concerns and provide legal advice.

• Training:

  Conduct training sessions for employees on legal topics relevant to the IT industry, such as data privacy and intellectual property rights.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  A bachelor's degree in law (LLB) is required; a master's degree (LLM) or specialization in IT law is preferred.

• Experience:

  Previous experience in a legal role, preferably within the IT industry or a technology-focused law firm.

Skills:
