Legal Assistant

Key Responsibilities: Recovery & Legal Follow-Up: ·      Assist in handling and tracking critical recovery cases from initiation to resolution. ·      Coordinate and follow up with delinquent customers through legal recovery calling, notices, and reminders. ·      Maintain detailed trackers for recovery status, legal notices issued, and customer responses. ·      Assist in preparing demand notices, recall notices, and assist in initiating legal recovery proceedings in coordination with advocates. Legal Drafting & Documentation: ·      Assist in the drafting and vetting of o  Loan agreements o  Contracts o  Legal notices o  Settlement letters o  Affidavits and declarations ·      Support in reviewing and drafting documentation for compliance with applicable laws and NBFC policies. Regulatory & Compliance Handling: Assist in reviewing and replying to RBI CMS Portal complaints with due diligence and in adherence to RBI guidelines. Coordinate with internal teams and customers to gather case history and supporting documents for complaint vetting. Ensure compliance with the Fair Practices Code, RBI Circulars, and other NBFC regulations. Support audits and regulatory inspections as and when required.   Coordination & Support: Liaise with recovery agents, collection teams, and legal counsels. Coordinate with external legal firms for case filing, court hearings, and follow-ups. Assist in documentation and filing for legal recovery actions including 138 NI Act, arbitration, and civil suits. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong legal drafting and communication skills (written and verbal) Excellent knowledge of NBFC operations, RBI regulations, and Banking Laws Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple cases, and meet tight deadlines Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal documentation tools Well-organized, detail-oriented, and committed to timelines
