Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

Job Type: Full-time, On-site

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive IT Support Specialist to join our team in Mumbai. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all IT-related issues, providing technical assistance and support to our employees. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, maintaining system reliability, and supporting end-users with their hardware, software, and network needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Helpdesk Support: Provide timely and effective first-line and second-line IT support to all employees via phone, email, and in-person, resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, network, and applications.
  • Troubleshooting & Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently, including desktop/laptop issues, printer malfunctions, network connectivity problems, software errors, and user account management.
  • System Setup & Maintenance: Configure, install, and deploy new hardware (laptops, desktops, printers, peripherals) and software, ensuring all systems are properly set up and maintained according to company standards.
  • User Account Management: Create, modify, and delete user accounts and permissions across various systems (e.g., Active Directory, email, business applications).
  • Network Support: Assist with basic network troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi connectivity), ensure network devices are operational, and escalate complex network issues to senior IT staff.
  • Security & Data Protection: Adhere to IT security policies and best practices, assist in data backup and recovery procedures, and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, support tickets, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the helpdesk system. Develop and update user guides and IT procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Manage IT equipment inventory, track asset allocation, and coordinate with vendors for hardware and software procurement and repairs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: 1-4 years of hands-on experience in an IT Support, Desktop Support, or Helpdesk role.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Familiarity with macOS and common Apple products is a plus.
  • Experience with Active Directory for user and group management.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi).
  • Experience with remote support tools.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team..

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
