IT Executive

Job Title: IT Support Executive Department: Information Technology Location: Virugambakkam Reports To: IT Manager / IT Head Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: The IT Support Executive is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users for hardware, software, network, and system issues. The role includes diagnosing and resolving problems, installing and configuring hardware and software, and ensuring seamless IT operations within the organization. Key Responsibilities: AreaDetailsTechnical SupportProvide first-level support for hardware, software, printers, and networking issues.System MaintenanceInstall, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and other IT devices.Network SupportAssist in network setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).User SupportAddress user queries via calls, emails, or ticketing systems and resolve them promptly.Software SupportInstall and troubleshoot OS, office tools, antivirus, and specialized applications.Asset ManagementMaintain inventory of IT assets and update records regularly.Data Backup & SecuritySupport in regular data backups and basic IT security protocols.DocumentationCreate and maintain documentation of issues and resolutions for future reference.Vendor CoordinationLiaise with external vendors for AMC, software licensing, or hardware repairs.Compliance & UpdatesEnsure systems comply with IT policies and perform timely updates. Key Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or relevant diploma). Experience: 1–3 years in IT support or a similar role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows/Linux OS Familiarity with networking concepts Knowledge of ticketing tools and remote desktop support Hands-on with hardware installation and maintenance Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Problem-solving and analytical thinking Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
