Job Description

This needs to change.

We humans were not made for this sort of life. We were never designed for the sedentary, indoor, socially isolated, fast-food-laden, sleep-deprived, frenzied pace of modern life. We are being robbed by the same technology that was meant to add value to our lives.

But what if design could be part of the solution? What if thoughtful, intentional design could help people reconnect with their humanity, find calm in the chaos, and rediscover joy in simple moments?

We believe that design has the power to heal. Through carefully crafted experiences, interfaces, and content, we can create digital spaces that nurture rather than drain, that connect rather than isolate, that empower rather than overwhelm.

We will not back down from this mission.

Role:

This is a full-time remote work for the right candidate. As our lead Designer, you will be at the forefront of a movement to revolutionize how design can support mental health. You'll create visually compelling and emotionally resonant experiences that directly combat the digital overwhelm plaguing our society.

You're not just designing interfaces—you're designing hope. You're not just creating content—you're crafting healing experiences. Every pixel, every interaction, every piece of content you create will be guided by one fundamental question: "Does this make someone's life better?"

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & User Experience

  • Develop design systems that prioritize accessibility, inclusivity, and emotional well-being
  • Design digital experiences that encourage healthy behaviors: movement, connection, mindfulness, and rest

  • Create designs that feel distinctly human in an increasingly automated world
Research & Innovation
  • Stay current with design trends in the mental health and wellness space
  • Research and understand the visual triggers that can either support or hinder mental wellness
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals to ensure design choices are therapeutically informed
  • Prototype innovative design solutions for common mental health challenges
Essential QualificationsTechnical Excellence
  • Expert proficiency in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, and Interaction Design
  • Advanced skills with design tools: Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch

Collaboration & Communication
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, researchers, and clinical professionals
  • Ability to present and defend design decisions with both creative and scientific rationale
  • Skilled at receiving feedback and iterating quickly while maintaining design integrity
Personal Qualities
  • Meticulous attention to detail with an intuitive sense for what feels "right"
  • Resilience and emotional intelligence to work in the mental health space
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Passionate about continuous learning and staying current with both design and mental health research
Preferred Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, Psychology, or related field
  • Portfolio demonstrating work in healthcare, wellness, mental health, or social impact sectors
  • Experience designing for vulnerable populations with sensitivity and care
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed design principles
