Job Description

Cloud & Data Engineer

Responsibilities

Design, implement and operate ETL workflows (Airflow, AWS Glue)
Administer PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server: performance tuning, backups, restores.\
Manage schema migrations via Flyway/Liquibase and version control
Provision and maintain data infrastructure with Terraform & Ansible
Monitor job health & database metrics; troubleshoot failures and slow queries
Automate scaling, snapshots and cost controls for RDS clusters
Secure data environment with IAM, network policies and encryption
Participate in 24×7 on-call rotations; author runbooks and postmortems
Collaborate on data modeling, indexing strategies and query optimization
Document all data flows, tuning guides, and runbooks in Confluence

Requirements

B.Tech/BE in CS, Information Systems or equivalent
4+ years building and operating ETL pipelines
3+ years as DBA in PostgreSQL/MySQL or SQL Server
Hands-on with Airflow, Informatica or AWS Glue; strong Python/Java/Scala skills
Proven ability to profile and tune complex SQL queries
Terraform/Ansible experience for infra automation
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
