What You’ll Work On:

As a backend developer at Gable Digital, you’ll play a key role in:

• Designing and developing robust APIs to power frontend apps
• Integrating serverless technologies using

  Cloudflare Workers

  and

  Durable Objects

• Handling authentication and access control using

  Clerk.dev

• Building scalable database schemas using

  PostgreSQL

  and

  Supabase

• Working with real-time systems using

  WebSockets

• Occasionally supporting legacy integrations with

  PHP & Laravel

• Collaborating with frontend engineers, product leads, and clients to shape the product experience
• Leveraging

  AI-based dev tools

  like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Cody to work faster and smarter.

Tech Stack You Must Be Familiar With:

• Languages & Tools

  :
• TypeScript (required)
• PHP (for Laravel-based tasks)
• AI Dev Tools: GitHub Copilot, Cody, Cursor, etc.

• Frameworks & Services

  :
• React (minimal – just for API interaction context)
• Hono (Cloudflare-compatible backend framework)
• Cloudflare Workers & Pages (serverless edge computing)
• Durable Objects (stateful logic at the edge)

• Databases & Auth

  :
• PostgreSQL (strong experience required)
• Supabase (PostgreSQL + serverless functions)
• Clerk.dev (authentication, sessions, user management)

• Communication & Control

  :
• REST APIs
• WebSockets

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in

  TypeScript-based backend/API development

• Familiarity with

  Cloudflare Worker architecture

  and

  Durable Objects

• Strong knowledge of

  PostgreSQL

  ,

  Supabase

  , and modern authentication flows
• Good command over

  WebSocket

  logic and real-time data handling
• Working knowledge of

  PHP and Laravel

  for supporting tasks
• Practical experience using

  AI-enhanced developer tools

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, async remote team
• Excellent English reading and writing skills (for documentation, tickets, collaboration).

Compensation & Contract

• $3 USD/hour

  (depending on experience and expertise)
• Paid monthly via Wise, Payoneer, or international bank transfer
• Flexible work hours ( timezone friendly)

Screening Process

1. First-Round

2. – Resume, LinkedIn, GitHub, and tech stack questionnaire
3. – Initial portfolio/code sample review

4. Second-Round

5. – Hands-on technical task involving Hono/Cloudflare/Postgres
6. – Short async video interview (5–10 mins)

You’ll be working closely with a modern frontend team, so strong collaboration skills and clean documentation habits are a must.
