If you're passionate about building APIs that are fast , secure , and reliable , and you love using AI-powered development tools to supercharge your productivity, we’d love to talk to you- What You’ll Work On: As a backend developer at Gable Digital, you’ll play a key role in: Designing and developing robust APIs to power frontend apps Integrating serverless technologies using Cloudflare Workers and Durable Objects Handling authentication and access control using Clerk.dev Building scalable database schemas using PostgreSQL and Supabase Working with real-time systems using WebSockets Occasionally supporting legacy integrations with PHP & Laravel Collaborating with frontend engineers, product leads, and clients to shape the product experience Leveraging AI-based dev tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Cody to work faster and smarter. Tech Stack You Must Be Familiar With: Languages & Tools : TypeScript (required) PHP (for Laravel-based tasks) AI Dev Tools: GitHub Copilot, Cody, Cursor, etc. Frameworks & Services : React (minimal – just for API interaction context) Hono (Cloudflare-compatible backend framework) Cloudflare Workers & Pages (serverless edge computing) Durable Objects (stateful logic at the edge) Databases & Auth : PostgreSQL (strong experience required) Supabase (PostgreSQL + serverless functions) Clerk.dev (authentication, sessions, user management) Communication & Control : REST APIs WebSockets What We’re Looking For Proven experience in TypeScript-based backend/API development Familiarity with Cloudflare Worker architecture and Durable Objects Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL , Supabase , and modern authentication flows Good command over WebSocket logic and real-time data handling Working knowledge of PHP and Laravel for supporting tasks Practical experience using AI-enhanced developer tools Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, async remote team Excellent English reading and writing skills (for documentation, tickets, collaboration).
