Avenir Digital - Senior Cloud Engineer - Azure/AWS/GCP

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Azure / AWS / GCP (based on business requirements)
• Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation, or Bicep
• Automate deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring for cloud-based applications
• Implement and manage networking, identity, storage, compute, and security in cloud environments
• Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and security risks; implement remediations
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Development teams to build robust, scalable solutions
• Manage hybrid cloud setups, VPNs, ExpressRoute/VNet peering, and on-prem/cloud integrations
• Optimize cloud cost, performance, and usage through effective resource governance and automation
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 510 years of experience in infrastructure/cloud engineering
• 3+ years of experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP in production environments (Azure preferred)
• Strong expertise in IaC (e.g., Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or similar)
• Proficiency with scripting and automation : PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• In-depth understanding of cloud networking, security, IAM/roles, firewall rules, load balancers
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, or AKS/EKS/GKE is a plus
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Strong problem-solving and incident resolution skills in cloud environments
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications : AZ-104, AZ-305, AWS Solutions Architect, or GCP Professional Cloud Engineer
• Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, etc.)
• Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures
• Understanding of cloud governance, policies, tagging, and FinOps principles

• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
