Job Description

1. Data Entry & BookkeepingEnter daily financial transactions in Tally ERP/Prime, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. Maintain proper and organized records of day-to-day accounting operations. Update Excel spreadsheets for ledgers, cash books, bank books, and reconciliation statements. 2. Bank ReconciliationRegularly reconcile bank statements with books of accounts using Tally. Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) in Excel to ensure accuracy in financial records. 3. Invoice ProcessingPrepare and issue sales invoices and purchase entries in Tally. Maintain records of vendor bills and customer invoices in Excel. 4. GST & Tax Filing SupportAssist in preparing GST reports and returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) through Tally. Maintain Excel sheets for tracking input/output GST and TDS records. Coordinate with senior accountants for timely tax submissions. 5. Account ReconciliationMatch and reconcile party accounts, vendor payments, and outstanding receivables/payables. Prepare account statements in Excel for reconciliation with clients and suppliers. 6. Payroll AssistanceMaintain employee attendance and salary sheets in Excel. Assist in processing payroll entries in Tally, including TDS deductions and reimbursements. 7. Inventory ManagementEnter stock and inventory data in Tally. Use Excel to track inventory levels, reorder levels, and stock movement reports. 8. Financial Reporting SupportGenerate and export reports from Tally such as Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, and Balance Sheet. Format and present financial data in Excel for analysis and management reporting. 9. Internal Audits & ChecksAssist in preparing internal audit documents and performing checks on entries in Tally. Maintain audit trails and supporting documents in Excel. 10. Coordination & CommunicationCoordinate with vendors, customers, and banks for queries related to accounts. Support senior accountants in finalizing books at the end of the financial year.
