Role Overview

AGM Project Sales (State Lead)




Key Responsibilities

🔹 Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Drive monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets for steel/TMT in the project segment.
  • Own and manage the complete sales funnel – from lead generation to closure and repeat orders.
  • Develop regional strategies for project acquisition and customer engagement.
  • Analyze the customer funnel to derive insights for improving acquisition, retention, and conversion.

🔹 Project & Key Account Management

  • Identify and onboard high-value infrastructure, government, EPC, and institutional projects.
  • Build long-term relationships with key accounts, ensuring cross-selling and wallet-share growth.
  • Customize solutions and pricing based on client needs and market dynamics.

🔹 Team Leadership

  • Lead, train, mentor, and monitor a 12–15 member sales team to achieve performance targets.
  • Conduct regular reviews, enable capability development, and build a high-impact culture.
  • Ensure consistent field engagement and support team with strategic deal closures.

🔹 Process & Operations

  • Coordinate with category, supply chain, credit, and fulfillment teams for seamless order execution.
  • Monitor end-to-end project delivery and resolve client escalations if any.
  • Implement process improvements to reduce turnaround times and improve customer satisfaction.

🔹 Customer-Centric Approach

  • Champion a customer-first mindset across the team.
  • Drive tailored engagement strategies and ensure high repeat rates through service excellence.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education

    : Graduate in Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience

    : Minimum 12–15 years in

    B2B Project Sales

    , preferably in

    Steel, TMT, or Construction Materials

    .
  • Proven experience managing large infrastructure/government/EPC clients.
  • Strong track record in handling large teams and delivering high-value project closures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical thinker with a solution-oriented mindset and high execution drive.
