Accountant

Den Design LLP, a new and dynamic women led interior designing firm launching in Kochi, is seeking a skilled accountant to become a key part of our team.

Position Summary: The Accountant will be solely responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, providing timely financial reports and act as the support for commercial decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in relevant software, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping & Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all company transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts regularly.
• Process and record all financial transactions including invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheets.
• Generate various financial reports as required by management.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Taxation & Compliance:
• Prepare and file Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national tax regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors.
• Administration:
• Assist with payroll processing.
• Manage petty cash and expense reimbursements.
• Maintain organized physical and digital financial documentation.
• Business Partnering
• Advice the management on the cost and profitability of projects
• Identify the Factory costs of Interior designing and make sure that we get the best costs
• Create the costing for each project.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as an Accountant of 3 years (including experiance in a CA Firm).
• Technical Proficiency:
• Tally ERP: Advanced proficiency is mandatory.
• Microsoft Excel: Expert-level skills in formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Microsoft Word & PowerPoint: Proficient in creating professional documents and presentations.
• Financial Statements: Proven ability to prepare and interpret P&L statements and Balance Sheets.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies efficiently.
