Role Overview

As a Simulator Engineer, you will develop highly interactive XR simulators for industrial training applications. This role demands strong expertise in electronics, embedded systems, microcontrollers, and PCB layouts to ensure the creation of reliable, functional, and intuitive training simulators.

Experience with 3D design and 3D printing is appreciated but not essential — the focus is on building intelligent, electronics-driven simulation systems that integrate smoothly with XR hardware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, develop, and prototype XR simulators, ensuring they meet the specific objectives and requirements of our clients.
  • Integrate microcontrollers, embedded systems, and electrical components into physical simulator devices.
  • Design and layout custom PCBs for simulator functionality and sensor integration.
  • Write and test firmware/microcontroller code (e.g., Arduino, STM32, ESP32).
  • Ensure proper integration of simulators with XR (VR/MR) headsets, including alignment of tracking systems and calibration of sensors for accurate user interaction.
  • Collaborate with XR content teams to sync physical simulator behavior with virtual training environments.
  • Conduct prototyping and testing of simulators for performance, safety, and user experience.
  • Document electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, build processes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay current with trends in embedded hardware and XR input technologies.
  • (Optional) Design and prototype custom enclosures or attachments using CAD tools and 3D printing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications, Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in product design and development, preferably in the XR or simulation industry (not mandatory, but a plus).
  • Strong hands-on experience with: Microcontrollers (Arduino, STM32, ESP, etc.), Embedded C/C++ or MicroPython, PCB design tools (e.g., KiCAD, Eagle, Altium), Sensor integration (IMUs, encoders, force/pressure sensors), Knowledge of electromechanical systems and basic actuator control (servo, stepper motors).
  • Familiarity with XR hardware (VR/AR headsets, motion controllers) and integration best practices.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools for component mounting and enclosure design is a plus.
  • Experience with 3D printing or rapid prototyping methods is a bonus, not a requirement.
  • Strong understanding of product design principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
