Tech Lead Electronics -D&D

• Must have experience in embedded domain.
• Shall be responsible for interaction with various DRDO labs, OEMs, vendors and defence clients for management and acquisition of Transfer of Technology (TOT) offered.
• Shall be responsible for liaising with NABL accredited labs/ DRDO labs/ DGQA labs for utilisation and fulfilment of testing requirements for complete range of products.
• Will be responsible for undertaking and assisting HOD D&D team for:

1. Electronics design of electro-optical devices as per requirements & specifications.
2. 3D modelling and design analysis of components, module and complete device.
3. Generation of applicable design drawings.
4. Fabrication of prototype/finalised electronic assemblies/sub-assemblies/PCBs.
5. Mechanical assembly of complete devices etc.
6. Design new products mechanical housing so as to incorporate PCBs, Connectors, Plugs Layout control models and Thermal Core/ Image intensifier Tubes etc.
7. Modify existing designs to cater new requirements.
8. Improve production techniques wherever applicable.
9. Determine root cause analysis and testing activities. Manage & scope investigations into form or function of a feature or set of features in a design. Develop test procedures wherever applicable.
10. Creation and refinement of complex mechanical components including Sourcing, creating Volume models and Key performance parameters etc.

• Selects new parts, taking into consideration:

1. Obsolescence
2. Availability
3. Cost

• Prepares and presents electronic designs to other members of the design team and project stakeholders at design reviews.
• Documents full design work and prepares reports, ensuring design files and information are kept up to date and stored in accordance with company procedures.
• Tracks departmental processes relating to management of designs and the project management processes.
• Analyse technology trends, market demands for product up-gradations in comparison to the competitor's range of products, keeping in pace with global development and plan in house projects in consultation with HOD.
• Prepares study reports and submits to HOD in order to determine:

1. Design feasibility
2. Cost effectiveness
3. Customer demand for new and existing products

• Assisting RM/ HOD in the following job responsibilities:

1. Vendor Selection for the required product.
2. Tie up with OEM's for new products and solutions.
3. Preparing presentation on products & solution.
4. Demonstration of the products to the clients whenever required.
5. Study of testing and evaluation methods for Thermal and Night Vision products.
6. Searching of new technology, Products and Solutions.
7. Framing proposals on solution and products.
8. Communicate with OEM for technical compliance, OEM Authorisation, Certification against the required product & product brochure against tender requirement or general communication on regular basis.
9. Preparation of the technical specs of the products highlighting the USP (Unique Selling Points) as well as for tender.
10. Updating of the cases with status in SAP, along with contact details of Clients & vendors (if applicable).
11. Product brochures/Technical Specifications/Presentations updating on server.

• Coordinate with engineering department for finalisation and development of new product(s) against the specific case, in line with the delivery timeline provided by the clients through RFI/RFP/ Projected tenders/Proposals).

Job Specification:

• M.tech/ B.tech/ Diploma – Electronics & Electrical from a reputed college.
• Must have at-least 8-10 years working experience with various types of design software and basic electronics circuitry/ PCB design of assemblies/sub- assemblies.
• Well acquainted with Electronics design of electro-optical devices as per design requirements
• 3D modelling and design analysis of components, module and complete device.
• Generation of applicable design drawings.
• Well acquainted with various design documentation.
• Must be willing to travel across India for demonstrations and trial purposes at client location.
• Hands on experience in Opto-electronic devices and thermal image processing will be an added advantage.
• Experience with ERP software, particularly SAP Business One, is preferred.
