About Company

We’re on a mission to revolutionize the checkout and cart experience for D2C e-commerce brands.Shopflo’s platform empowers brands to personalize discounts, rewards, and payments—somethingmost traditional checkout systems simply can’t do well.Shopflo was started by three co-founders -
  • Ankit (ex-IIT Kharagpur, Oracle, Gupshup)
  • Ishan (ex-IIT Bombay, Parthenon, Elevation Capital)
  • Priy (ex-IIT Madras, McKinsey, Elevation Capital)
Some of the leading D2C brands in India, including Sleepy Owl, Koparo, Mamaearth, JuicyChemistry, and many others, trust Shopflo to help them boost conversion rates, increase revenue,and deliver a seamless, brand-aligned checkout experience to their customers.We’ve secured close to $3M in funding from top investors and are gearing up for our Series A roundby the end of this year or early next year, as we continue to scale rapidly.

Team & Role

We are a team of 70 people now (with team members joining from Livspace, Gupshup, Setu, etc.).This is a high-impact, critical role to craft the future roadmap of the organisation. And we’re justgetting started!

What You Will Do

  • Design and develop microservices that can work in a large-scale, multi-tenant environment.
  • Explore design implications and work towards an appropriate balance between functionality, performance, and maintainability.
  • Take ownership from the ideation phase to deployment and maintenance.
  • Deploy and maintain applications in a secured AWS environment.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Design, Product, Data Science, and Analytics.
  • Actively participate in the hiring process to bring world-class programmers to the team.

You Should Apply If You Have

  • 2-4 years of experience in server-side development.
  • Strong programming skills in Java.
  • Hands-on experience in API development and the Spring framework.
  • Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in test-driven development (writing unit tests and API tests).
  • Understanding of basic cloud computing concepts and experience with any major cloud service provider (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Ability to build and deploy applications in a containerized environment.
  • Understanding of application logging and monitoring systems like Prometheus or Kibana.
  • Curiosity to explore cutting-edge technologies and bake them into products.
  • Zeal and drive to take end-to-end ownership
