Job Summary:

The NI Tool Software Designer will be responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining test and measurement software using National Instruments (NI) tools such as LabVIEW, TestStand, and VeriStand for automotive and electric vehicle subsystems. This role supports hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, end-of-line (EOL) test benches, and validation setups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy test applications using NI LabVIEW, TestStand, and VeriStand for automotive ECUs, BMS, motor controllers, and VCUs.
• Develop and integrate drivers for sensors, actuators, and communication buses (CAN, LIN, FlexRay).
• Design user interfaces and test sequences for automated testing and data acquisition.
• Interface with hardware engineers to validate integration with test benches and HIL systems.
• Develop documentation for software architecture, test scripts, and user manuals.
• Provide technical support for test system setup, debugging, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with automotive validation standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s in EEE/ECE/Instrumentation or equivalent.
• 0–3 years of experience with LabVIEW/TestStand/VeriStand.
• Certified LabVIEW Associate/Developer preferred.
• Understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS).
• Knowledge of DAQ hardware, PXI systems, and real-time testing concepts.
